Here is a little bit about us and what we are all about. I
am 32 years old and have been around dogs all of my life. My dad used
to breed German Shepherds and beagles along with Morgan and Clydesdale
horses and I am the only one out of 9 children that carried on in his
footsteps.
I have had a lot of experience with animals
and we currently have cows, chickens, cats and our dogs. So
needless to say my life pretty much revolves around my family and my
animals.
I have always loved the German Shepherd breed because they are so
useful in so many areas. They can do almost any task that you set before
them and out of many different breeds out there they are the most
widely used dog for police work. They have the strong and willing
desire to please and are very easily trained. We just love the true
versatility of this breed.
I
strongly believe in early socialization and our puppies are constantly
being handled and loved on. I own mostly imports because I love the drive
and determination that is bred into those dogs as well as the easy going
nature and trustworthy attitudes. They are also bred to the original standard and are not the angulated tall narrow dogs the akc has created. All of my dogs have strong
temperaments and will protect you with their lives if need be but I will
not own an aggressive dog. All of my dogs are 100% people proof and
adore children.
I have been breeding on my own now
since 2002 but I have been working with dogs and helping my dad with
animals since I was little. My goal is to produce strong tempered
IMPORT lined German Shepherd dogs with the ability to be excellent family
pets. None of my dogs are overly angulated but are not high in the rear
either. They all have a nice top line and good clean movement. A German
shepherd was originally built to consist of 90 degree angles and I try
to come as close to that as possible. Even changing the angle a fraction
throws everything off. I breed for temperament, trainability, courage
and beauty.
I will not breed a dog that I do not WHOLEHEARTEDLY believe will better the breed.
If you are looking for a strong tempered dog that has the drive to work
but can also compete in the ring structurally and mentally that is what
I have. A German shepherd is a strong dog that REQUIRES attention,
obedience training, and most of all socialization. 100% of what you put
into the dog will be returned to you many times over. My dogs are all
very willing to work and are fast learners. One saying that I heard
that I totally agree with is that : Every trainer gets the dog he or she
deserves. Training is up to you and what you are willing to put into
the dog. ALL DOGS ARE TRAINABLE. Most
of my dogs come from a mix of German working and show lines and are
bred to be intelligent, loyal, protective but above all amazing and
caring family pets.
I got married in June, 2007 to
Matthew Lantz and now live in Middleton, Idaho. My Husband shares my
love and admiration for the breed and we will continue to raise German
Shepherds and will continue to provide families with their IDEAL pet.
We found out in October of 2008 that we were expecting our first child
and we welcomed our baby girl into the world June 19th 2009.In
November 2009 we found out that once again we were expecting and we
welcomed another baby girl into our family on Aug 12th 2010. In October
2011 we found out we were expecting again and our little boy was born
June 27th 2012. So we have ample kid socialization for all of our dogs
and puppies. All
of our dogs LOVE kids and we 100% trust any of them with kids at all
times. We do not worry about anything when they are around and they all
already adore our children and you can see them "change" and show a
more alert protective side when the kids are around. They watch over
them and make sure that they are safe. A GSD is a true FAMILY DOG! Note...
If you have ever heard that a German Shepherd is not a good family dog
or is not good around kids then please look at my site and see the dogs
interacting with the kids that they ALL love and adore so much.
